2011: Selected to preseason All-BIG EAST First Team...Started all 18 games at forward and led the team in goals (7), points (18), shots (60), and shots on goal (29)...Scored goals in four of the Hoyas first five games...Had one goal and one assist in each of the Hoyas early season wins at Lehigh (Sept. 2) and at Holy Cross (Sept. 10)...Scored GU's lone goal in a loss at No. 5 Syracuse. High School: Shugrue, a three-year letterwinner in field hockey and two-year letterwinner in track, helped lead Episcopal to an Inter-Academic League Championship in 2008...Selected All Mainline first team and All-Southeastern Pennsylvania honorable mention...League champion in the 100m and 300m hurdles, helping set a school record in the 4x400 relay. |
