WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's Field Hockey Head Coach Christy Longacre announced the dates for the program's 2018 summer camp, which is now open for registration. Campers will have the option to stay overnight or commute.
The Elite Field Hockey Camp will be held Monday, July 30, and concludes on Wednesday, August 1. Camp participants will have an all-access pass into stepping up their game and discovering the latest technical and tactical components of field hockey in preparation for their upcoming scholastic season. The camp is open to individuals entering grades 8-12.
This will be Longacre's first summer camp as the Georgetown field hockey head coach, who joined the Hilltop in January. Longacre comes from Ball State University where she was the head coach for the past two seasons. Longacre's 2017 squad at Ball State finished the season with 5-12 overall record and a mark of 1-5 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Her team boasted 10 Academic All-MAC selections and one All-MAC Second Team honoree. Joining Longacre is the new assistant coach, Kelsey Smithers, who also comes from Ball State.
