Georgetown Field Hockey Drops to .500 in 2-0 Loss to Davidson
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Georgetown field hockey (8-8) fell to .500 with a 2-0 loss to the Davidson Wildcats (6-10) on Sunday afternoon. Davidson converted on a penalty corner midway through the first half and added an insurance goal late in the game to defeat the Hoyas.
Goalkeeper Jessica Herring (Ocean, N.J./Ocean Township) kept the game close with seven saves in 70 minutes of play facing 16 shots to Georgetown’s nine.
The Hoyas return to the friendly confines of Kehoe Field on Sunday November 3rd to take on the Bison of Bucknell at noon. Georgetown is 6-4 when playing at home this season.
