Wilson Earns All-BIG EAST Second Team Honors

Annie Wilson has been named to the 2012 All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second straight year.

WASHINGTON - For the second consecutive season Georgetown senior field hockey player Annie Wilson (Darien, Conn./Darien) earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors as announced by the BIG EAST Conference on Thursday night.

The 2012 All-BIG EAST Second Team selection, Wilson, was Georgetown's leader in points, goals and assists this season. She started all 19 games and totaled 19 points, seven goals and five assists. Wilson scored goals in four of the Hoyas six games against conference foes. Her seven goals was a single season career high.

Wilson has been a four year standout for Georgetown, starting 75 games in her career. She earned 2011 All-BIG EAST Second Team honors and was a member of the 2011 NFCHCA National Academic squad. Over her four years Wilson totaled 19 goals and 16 assists.

Wilson is one of 10 seniors who played their final game at Georgetown this season. The group is the largest senior class in Head Coach Tiffany Marsh's six seasons.
