Wilson Named to Field Hockey All-BIG EAST Second Team

WASHINGTON -

Junior forward Annie Wilson (Darien, Conn./Darien) earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team, when the honors were announced Thursday night. This is the third BIG EAST honor for Wilson this season.

Wilson was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on October 3, following an impressive performance against BIG EAST rival Rutgers. She earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on September 5, after scoring two goals including the game-winner in overtime against Lehigh on September 4.

Fellow teammates Charlotte Tierney (Rye, N.Y./Holy Child) and Kelly Mosser (Fairfield, N.J.) were named to the weekly honor roll in the last week of the season, after a 3-2 overtime win against Providence. Catherine Shugrue (Devon, Pa./Episcopal Academy) earned her spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on October 17.

Wilson earned BIG EAST honors in the 2010 season after scoring two goals and tallying two assists in a win against LaSalle.

Wilson finished the 2011 season with five goals and one assist totaling eleven points.
