WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team finished with a final score of 76-over par 940, good for fifteenth place, after the final round of play at the Clover Cup hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
Final round play on Sunday concluded the 16-team, 54-hole tournament in Arizona that included five teams ranked in Golfweek's top 35. Unranked Oklahoma led the tournament wire-to-wire, finishing with a final score of two-under par 862. No. 35 SMU finished in second place followed by No. 11 Texas Tech in third.
Freshman Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) had the low score for the Hoyas on the final day and overall, shooting a 4-over par 76 on Sunday. The 13-over par 229 total score tied her for 38th place overall.
Fellow freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) tied for 59th overall with an 18-over par 234, including a 5-over 77 on the final day of the tournament. Junior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) finished four shots back of Lee, shooting a final round 12-over par 84 to give her a final 22-over par 238 for the tournament, tying for 72nd.
Sophomore Viktoria Lager (Princeton, N.J./West Florida Christian School) and senior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's) each tied for 89th place with a 31-over par 274. Lager shot a 6-over par 78 in the final round with Dalton shooting a 14-over par 86.
