The Georgetown University women's golf team is tied for 14th place among 17 teams after two rounds of play at the Pinehurst Spring Challenge, being held at the par-72, 5,983 yard Pinehurst No. 6 course. The 17-team field played 36 holes on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday with 18 holes.
North Carolina State leads the field at 5-under par 571, while the Hoyas are tied for 14th place at 39-over par 615 with Western Michigan. GU posted scores of 24-over par 312 in the first round and 15-over par 303 in the second round, respectively.
Sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) led the Hoyas, tying for 44th place in the field of 94 golfers at 8-over par 152. She struggled in the first round with a 7-over par 79, but bounced back in the second round with a 1-over par 73.
Junior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) is tied for 54th place at 10-over par 154 with consecutive rounds of 5-overp par 77.
Senior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) is tied for 65th place at 13-over par 157 and junior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore.) is one shot back, tied for 69th place at 14-over par 158, including a 4-over par 76 in the second round.
Senior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) is tied for 73rd place at 15-over par 159, with a 4-over par 76 in the first round.
