Women's Golf in 18th Place After First Round at Briar's Creek Invitational

The Georgetown University women's golf team posted an 18-hole score of 49-over par 337 and is in 18th place after the first day of play at the Briar's Creek Invitational, being held at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island, South Carolina.
Coastal Carolina leads the 18-team field at 17-over par 305, two shots ahead of UCF, second at 19-over par 307. Kansas is third (21-over par 309), Maryland is fourth (24-over par 312) and Indiana rounds out the top-five (27-over par 315)
Junior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) is tied for 35th place in the field of 96 golfers to lead Georgetown, posting an 8-over par 80..
Freshman Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) shot a 12-over par 84 and is tied for 70th place, while freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) carded a 14-over par 86 and is tied for 84th place.
Sophomore Viktoria Lager (Princeton, N.J./West Florida Christian School) is in 90th place at 15-over par 87 and freshman Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) is in 95th place at 19-over par 91.
The final round will be held on Tuesday.
