Georgetown Finishes in Second Place at Spider Intercollegiate

The Georgetown University women's golf team shot a 20-over par 308 in the final round and finished in second place among 14 teams at the Spider Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Richmond at the Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va.
The Hoyas finished with a two-day, 54-hole total of 57-over 921, 10 shots behind winner St. John's, who topped the field at 47-over par 911.
Georgetown was propelled to its finish with a first round score of 10-over par 298, the best team round since an 8-over par 296 in the first round of the Shootout at the Legends in October 2007.
Junior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) led Georgetown, shooting a 12-over par 228 and tying for third place in the field of 82 golfers. She fired a career-best 1-under par 71 in the first round and closed out with a 6-over par 77 on Tuesday.
Seniors Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) shot a 6-over par 77 in the final round and finished in a tied for fifth place at 13-over par 229, while senior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) finished in a tie for 11th place at 16-over par 232, carding an 8-over par 79 in the final round.
Junior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary) tied for 17th place at 18-over par 234. She shot a 6-over par 77 in the third round, her second-straight round with better scores and going 7-over par 79 and 6-over par 78, respectively.
Sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) tied for 30th place at 24-over par 240, while freshman Alex Douglas (Madison, Wis./Madison East), playing as an individual, tied for 62nd place at 40-over par 256.
