Women's Golf Team Ties for Seventh at the William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - The Georgetown University women's golf team tied for seventh place at the William and Mary Invitational, held Saturday-Sunday, March 26-27, at Ford's Colony Country Club in James City, VA. Georgetown finished the two-day tournament with a 654 (332, 332) to tie Bucknell (328, 326) and Winthrop (325, 329) for the seventh spot. Sixteen teams completed on the weekend.
Senior Connie Isler turned in the Hoyas' top performance for the second tournament in a row. Isler shot a 156 (77, 79) on the 6,001-yard, par 72 course. Junior Nicole Hayashi carded a 157 (77, 80) to tie for 12th place, while freshman Kaitlyn Dwyer's 170 (87, 83) tied her for 53rd. Rounding out the Hoya golfers was freshman Jenn Winokur, who wrapped up the tournament with a 171 (81, 90) to tie for 57th place.
Rollins College won the William and Mary Invitational with a 603 (299, 304). Methodist College was second with a 619 (308, 311), and Longwood took third with a 626 (317, 309). Elon finished in fourth place with a 638 (321, 317), while William and Mary and Ball State tied for fifth with 640 (322, 118).
