Friday's first round was played with a traditional stroke play loop at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Those results were utilized to comprise a pair of match play brackets for the remainder of the weekend. The top eight teams will be seeded in the "Red" bracket, and the remaining schools will play in the "Black" bracket.
After the first day of play, with 18 holes of stroke play, Georgetown posted a 34-over par 322 and finished in 16th place in the 16-team field.
Northwestern leads the 16-team filed at 11-under par 277, with Arkansas second (3-over par 291), Alabama third (5-over par 293), Southern California fourth (6-over par 294), while Auburn and Mississippi State are tied for fifth place (11-over par 299).
On Friday, Hana Lee of Northwestern and Gaby Lopez of Arkansas both equaled the tournament record with a pair of 6-under 66s. Lee's loop led an impressive showing by the Wildcats. Northwestern golfers also finished fourth, fifth and ninth en route to a tournament-record 11-under 277.
Sophomore Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) was Georgetown's top finisher, tying for 51st place at 7-over par 79.
Senior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) was one stroke back, tying for 60th place at 8-over par 80, and sophomore Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) carded a 9-over par 81 and is tied for 65th place.
Sophomore Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) tied for 67th place at 10-over par 82 and freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 2 Middle School) is in a tie for 74th place at 12-over par 84.
Georgetown will play in the "Black" Bracket on Saturday, facing Michigan State in the first round on Saturday, April 5. The Hoyas will tee off beginning at 7:40 a.m. from the 10th hole. The Blue & Gray will play either Iowa State or Indiana in the second round on Saturday afternoon.
The final round of match play will be held on Sunday, April 6.
