The Georgetown University women's golf team lost its final match during a two-day portion of match play competition at the 42nd Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, played at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
The Hoyas squared off against Daytona State, losing their final match, 3-2, with several matches closely contested until the final holes.
Senior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) defeated Courtney Cobb of Daytona State, 2-and-1, the team's lone win.
Sophomore Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) and freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 2 Middle School) both squared their matches, earning the team's other point.
The Hoyas are back in action on Thursday, April 17, starting play in the BIG EAST Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.
