The Georgetown women's golf team finished in second place at the BIG EAST Championship.

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team saved its best for last, firing an 18-over par 306 in the final round and finishing in second place at the BIG EAST Championship, held at the Hills Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Hoyas entered the final round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament trailing Seton Hall by 13 strokes but thanks to their 306 in Saturday's final round - the fourth-best team round of the entire tournament - and finished within seven strokes of the eventual champion Pirates, who topped the six-team field at 64-over par 928.
Georgetown finished in second place at 71-over par 935. The team's 18-over par 306 was tied for the fourth-best round by the team this season. The Blue & Gray finished two shots ahead of St. John's, in third at 73-over par 937, while Xavier was fourth at 75-over par 939.
The Hoyas placed three individuals among the top 10 overall, led by sophomore Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic), who tied for second place at 13-over par 229. She posted a team-best 1-over par 73 in the second round and followed that up with a 5-over par 77 in Saturday's final round.
Sophomore Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) shot a 2-over par 74 in the final round and finished in eighth place overall with a 15-over par 231.
Freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 2 Middle School) finished in 10th place at 18-over par 234. She sandwiched scores of 4-over par 76 (Thursday) and 6-over par 78 (Saturday) around an 8-over par 80.
Senior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) moved into a tie for 17th place at 27-over par 243 after a 5-over par 77 on Saturday, while sophomore Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) tied for 23rd place at 33-over par 249.
