Women's Golf in Eighth Place at BIG EAST Championship

Sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) is tied for 10th place and the Georgetown University women's golf team stands in eighth place after the first round of the BIG EAST Championship, being played at the Reunion Resort in Florida.

Notre Dame shot an 8-over par 296 to lead the field of eight teams, two strokes ahead of South Florida (10-over par 298). Rutgers is third at 23-over par 311, Louisville is fourth at 24-over par 312, while St. John's and Seton Hall are tied for fifth place at 26-over par 314. The Hoyas are in eighth place at 31-over par 319.

Choi posted a 3-over par 75 to tie for 10th place in the field of 40 golfers, leading the Hoyas.

Senior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) is tied for 25th place at 8-over par 80. Senior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) and junior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) are tied for 30th place at 10-ovecr par 82 and junior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary) is tied for 38th place at 13-over par 85.

Georgetown tees off at 8 a.m. on Monday.
