Georgetown Finishes in Seventh Place at BIG EAST Championship

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown women's golf team shot a 23-over 311 in the final round and finished in seventh place with a three-round score of 61-over par 925 at the BIG EAST Championship, held on the Watson Course in Reunion, Fla. Notre Dame shot a 6-under par 282 and topped the eight-team field with a 36-hole score of 3-under par 861, 14 shots ahead of Louisville, in second place at 11-over par 875. St. John's placed third (40-over par 904), with Cincinnati fourth (41-over par 905), South Florida fifth (49-over par 913), Seton Hall sixth (50-over par 914) and the Hoyas seventh. Rutgers placed eighth at 65-over par 929. Freshmen Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) shot a 6-over par 78 in the third round and tied for 17th place at 14-over par 230 to lead the Hoyas.. Junior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) posted a 6-over par 78 in the third round and tied for 20th place at 15-over par 231. Freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) and senior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) tied for 26th place at 18-over par 234. Skinner posted the team's best round of the day, firing a 3-over par 75. Senior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) tied for 37th place at 22-over par 238.
