Women's Golf Sits 11th after Two Rounds at Wolverine Invitational

Alice Choi is in a tie for 47th with fellow Hoya Viktoria Lager.

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown women's golf program completed two rounds in the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan and resides in 11th place with a team total of 667. Hoya freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) is tied for 35th overall after shooting an 83 and an 81.

It was a day of random heavy downpours and cooler temperatures but leading the 14 team invitational is host Michigan with a 616 total, 48 over par. In second is Florida International, followed by Eastern Michigan, Xavier and Illinois in third, fourth and fifth respectively. Georgetown is four strokes off from 10th place Grand Valley State.

Viktoria Lager (Princeton, N.J./West Florida Christian School) and Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) are tied for 47th after scoring 167 and shooting identical scores of 85 and 82. Co-captain Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) carded an 82 and an 89, good for a tie at 63rd. Stefanie Soelling (Everett, Wash./Everett) is in a tie for 76th after a two round total of 175.

The final round of the Wolverine Invitational will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 23.
