Georgetown Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Lady Northern Invitational

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team shot a 31-over par 319 in the final round and finished in 11th place among 15 teams at the Lady Northern Invitational, held at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis.
Tenth-ranked Purdue finished with a 54-hole score of 1-over par 865 to top the 15-team field, finishing 13 strokes ahead of 14th-ranked Ohio State and seventh-ranked Michigan State, who tied for second place at 14-over par 878. Northwestern placed fourth at 25-over par 889 and Iowa State rounded out the top-five teams, shooting a 27-over par 891.
Purdue's Maude-Aimee LeBlanc fired a 6-under par 210 to claim medalist honors in the field of 90 golfers.
Georgetown was led by sophomore Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day), who tied for 29th place at 13-over par 229.
Sophomore Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) tied for 37th place at 16-over par 232, freshman Simone Strauss (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert) tied for 52nd place at 21-over par 237, freshman Jordan Redfield (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) tied for 66th place at 24-over par 240 and freshman Brooke O'Brien (Columbus, Ohio/The Wellington School) finished in 86th place at 35-over par 251.
Georgetown plays next at the Xavier Invitational, being held at the LPGA International Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Oct. 9-10.
