Women's Golf in Fourth Place at Nittany Lion Invitational

Georgetown is tied for fourth place at the Nittany Lion Invitational.

Senior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) is tied for fifth place and the Georgetown University women's golf team fired a 14-over par 302 in the first round and is tied for fourth place at the 37th Annual Nittany Lion Invitational, hosted by Penn State in State College, Pa.

Yale leads the 14-team field after a first round 1-over par 289, with host Penn State second at 5-over par 293. Kent State is third at 6-over par 294, while the Hoyas are tied for fourth place at 14-over par 302 with Longwood. Old Dominion is in sixth place at 16-over par 304.

Choi shot an even-par 72 to lead the Hoyas and is tied for fifth place in the field of 91 golfers.

Sophomore Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) is tied for 21st place at 3-over par 75, while sophomore Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) is one shot back, tied for 26th place at 4-over par 76.

Freshman Kelly Hwang (Moorestown, N.J./IMG Academy) is tied for 55th place at 7-over par 79, sophomore Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) is tied for 65th place at 8-over par 80 and freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) is tied for 84th place at 13-over par 85.

The Nittany Lion Invitational continues on Saturday, Sept. 28 and concludes on Sunday, Sept. 29, both with 9 a.m. shotgun starts.
