Georgetown finished in fifth place at Birdies for Breast Cancer.

Birdies for Breast Cancer Day Get Acrobat Reader

Georgetown posted a final round score of 23-over par 311 and finished in fifth place among 10 teams at the Birdies for Breast Cancer, hosted by the University of California-Riverside at Oak Quarry Golf Club in California.

Host UC-Riverside finished with a 54-hole score of 16-over par 880 to win the event. California Baptist and CSU-Northridge tied for second place with scores of 31-over par 895, respectively, while Western Kentucky finished in fourth place at 47-over par 911.

The Hoyas, who tied a school record with a 7-over par 295 in the first round, finished with a three-round score of 48-over par 912.

Sophomore Liz DiVincentis (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) and sophomore Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch) tied for 11th place to lead Georgetown, posting scores of 9-over par 225.

Sophomore Mackenzie Boydston (Keller, Texas/Nolan Catholic) and freshman Jenny Xiao (Foshan, China/Foshan No. 3 Middle School) tied for 22nd place with scores of 17-over par 233 and freshman Kelly Hwang (Moorestown, N.J./IMG Academy) tied for 28th place at 21-over par 237

Senior Stefanie Soelling (Everett, Wash./Everett), competing as an individual, tied for 48th place at 31-over par 247.

The Hoyas compete next on Oct. 14-15 at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
