WASHINGTON - On a snowy Wednesday in the Nation's Capital, there's nothing better to think of than women's golf, especially with the Georgetown University women's golf team beginning practice for the 2014 season just yesterday.

While the Hoyas may not be out on the links today because of the weather, Head Coach Katie Brophy and her team will reach out to the community next week when they host a clinic as part of The First Tee of Washington, D.C. on Thursday, Jan. 30 at East Potomac Park. The clinic, an LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Event, runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Hoyas will talk about college and the steps they took to get to Georgetown and then also help the girls out with their swings on the range.

"This is a great way for our team to interact with some of the next generation of women's golfers," Brophy said. "We've fostered a tremendous partnership with First Tee of D.C. and I know our young women really enjoy the opportunity to meet with these kids."
