Georgetown Continues Spring Play in the Hurricane Invitational

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team plays its second tournament of the spring season starting on Monday, March 5 when the team competes at the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational. The two-day tournament will be held at the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, Fla. and concludes on Tuesday, March 6.
A total of 16 teams, including 10 teams ranked in the Golfweek Top 100 are slated to compete as Arkansas State, Boston College, Campbell University, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgetown, Georgia State, James Madison, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Longwood University, Michigan, Ohio State, Oral Roberts, and Princeton join Miami in the two-day tournament.
Competition will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
The Georgetown lineup this weekend will include seniors Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) and Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood), along with juniors Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore.) and Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) and sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside).
Jo led Georgetown last week at the Kiawah Island Invitational, finishing in a tie for 43rd place at 14-over par 230, posting scores of 4-over par 76 in the final two rounds, respectively.
After shooting a 12-over par 84 in the first round, Skinner bounced back with consecutive scores of 3-over par 75 and tied for 63rd place at 18-over par 234. She was joined in a tie for 63rd place by Choi, who also shot a 12-over par 84 in the first round, but had the team's best round of the tournament - a 1-over par 73 - in the second round - and shot a 5-over par 77 in the final round.
