WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team closes out its fall schedule this weekend, competing in the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
The Hoyas will be one of eight teams competing at the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21. The teams will play 36 holes on the par-72, 5,614-yard course. A shotgun start will begin at 9:30 a.m. on both days.
Georgetown will be competing along with host Lehigh, Princeton, Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall, Siena and Yale.
Georgetown's lineup this weekend will be led by senior co-captain Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) Skinner finished third on the team in stroke average at 79.44 last year, with her best finish a tie for 10th place at the Fighting Camel Classic. In six rounds this season, she carries an 81.00 stroke average.
Junior Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) is coming off a tie for 13th place at the Nittany Lion Invitational, shooting a 6-over par 222. She has two top-30 finishes this year and carries a 77.78 stroke average.
Sophomore Viktoria Lager (Princeton, N.J./West Florida Christian School) has one top-20 finish this fall, tying for 19th place at the Golfweek Program Challenge to open the season, shooting an 18-over par 321. In nine rounds, she has an 80.11 stroke average.
Freshman Patricia Lee (Lone Tree, Colo./Highlands Ranch), whose best finish was a tie for 35th at the Wolverine Invitational with a 28-over par 244, has an 80.11 stroke average.
Junior Stefanie Soelling (Everett, Wash./Everett) has posted an 82.22 stroke average in nine rounds. Her best finish was a tie for 19th place at the Golfweek Program Challenge
This is the final event of the fall season for the Hoyas.
