Meg Dentler joined the Georgetown staff during the summer of 2012. Dentler came to the Hilltop from James Madison University where she coached for four seasons. She works on all aspects of the program with an emphasis on the goalies.

In 2015, Georgetown went 7-10 with a mark of 6-1 in BIG EAST Conference play. The squad was the BIG EAST Regular Season Co-Champion, and the Blue & Gray had one player named all-region and six All-BIG EAST honorees.

The previous season, Georgetown went 11-9 with a mark of 6-1 in BIG EAST Conference play. The squad advanced to the BIG EAST Championship game and earned an NCAA Tournament berth defeating Johns Hopkins, 9-8, in overtime in the first round. GU fell to the University of North Carolina, 10-8. The Blue & Gray had three players named all-region and six All-BIG EAST honorees. In 2013, Dentler helped return the Blue & Gray to both the NCAA and BIG EAST Tournaments. Her goalies had a mark of 13-6 with 100 total saves.

Dentler was at JMU for four seasons helping the Dukes to a pair of Colonial Athletic Association championships and mentoring an All-America goalie in Morgan Kelly. In her time at James Madison, the Dukes earned two NCAA Tournament berths advancing to the second round in 2010.

Dentler arrived at JMU from her alma mater, George Mason, where she was a volunteer assistant for three seasons.

At Mason, Dentler was a two-time (2004, 2005) All-America goalie and the 2005 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. She was also a four-time All-CAA honoree, earning first team recognition in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and second team honors in 2002. As a freshman in 2002 she was selected the CAA Rookie of the Year.

As a senior Dentler was a team captain and selected the school's Student-Athlete of the Year. She set school records for season (225) and career (855) saves and career saves percentage (.572).

Mason qualified for four-consecutive CAA Tournaments while Dentler was the Patriots' starting goalie. In 2010, Dentler was among 25 players selected to the CAA women's lacrosse Silver Anniversary team. As part of its 25th Anniversary celebration in 2009-10, the league recognized Silver Anniversary teams in 21 championship sports. The teams were selected by a panel of current and former head coaches in the conference.

Dentler is a native of Crofton, Md., and a graduate of Arundel High School, where she earned All-America honors. She graduated from George Mason in 2005 with a degree in graphic design.

She resides in Arlington, Va.
