Freedman Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - Junior midfielder Kelyn Freedman (Newtown Square, Pa./Radnor) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday after leading the Hoyas to a 1-0 week in the season opener. This is Freedman's and No. 15/14 Georgetown's first weekly award so far this season.

Freedman registered four points, including three goals and an assist in a 16-12 win at Delaware on Saturday. She also had two draw controls to her credit.

It is her first-career award from the BIG EAST Conference.

Georgetown will be back in action on Saturday as the squad hosts No. 17/16 Towson University in the home opener at Multi-Sport Field. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.Live stats and a webcast featuring Chuck Timanus will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
