Caroline Tarzian

Feb. 25, 2013

WASHINGTON - Sophomore attacker Caroline Tarzian (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday after leading the Hoyas to a 1-0 week in the home opener. It marks Tarzian's first honor of the season and the second for the No. 15/10 Hoyas who moved up in the national rankings this week.

Tarzian had five goals and two assists for a team-best seven points in the 13-10 victory over No. 17/16 Towson on Saturday. The attacker went 5-for-5 on shots on goal for an impressive performance in the Blue & Gray's home opener. Tarzian also picked up two ground balls for the afternoon.

It marked Tarzian's second-career nod to the honor roll after earning Second Team All-BIG EAST a season ago.

Georgetown will be back in action on Friday as the squad hosts the Princeton University Tigers at Multi-Sport Field. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. Live stats and a webcast featuring Chuck Timanus will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
