Tarzian Lands on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Sophomore Caroline Tarzian was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season.

WASHINGTON - Sophomore women's lacrosse standout Caroline Tarzian (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) was named for the third time this season to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. It is the sixth straight week that a Hoya has earned a spot on the honor roll.

Tarzian, a member of the 2013 Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List, helped lead the Hoyas to a 2-0 week and an undefeated start to league play. It is the ninth time in the past 10 seasons that Georgetown has opened league play 2-0. Tarzian totaled seven goals and an assist during the week, including her third five goal game of the season in GU's 14-11 win over Louisville. Against Cincinnati this past Friday, Tarzian had two scores in the 21-3 victory.

Tarzian has scored multiple goals in seven games this season and leads the Hoyas with 24 goals and 34 points. She is second on the team in assists with 10. She ranks fourth in the BIG EAST for goals per game (2.67) and is seventh in points per contest (3.78).

Georgetown continues in league action when it faces Loyola on Saturday, April 6. Game time is set for noon in Baltimore, Md.
