Kirr Earns a Spot on BIG EAST Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - Senior co-captain attacker Jordy Kirr (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday after leading the Hoyas over Connecticut and Yale this past week. Kirr is the second Hoya of the year to be honored by the conference and it is her fifth-career nod to the honor roll.
The attacker scored five goals and had six assists on the week as Georgetown went 2-0 and 1-0 in conference play. In the Hoyas' BIG EAST road opener at UConn, Kirr managed two goals and four assists as well as a caused turnover. Georgetown won the matchup, 14-12. In Sunday's big 16-3 win over Yale, she had three goals and two assists while picking up a ground ball.
Kirr is leading the Blue & Gray in points with 31 to her credit on 15 goals and a squad-high16 assists. She ranks second in goals with 15 on the year. Kirr is 2-of-4 on free position shots.
Georgetown is 4-5 on the season and 2-0 in BIG EAST play. The Hoyas have faced five nationally-ranked opponents in their first nine games. Georgetown is currently ranked No. 17 in the IWLCA Poll.
