Providence, R.I. – Georgetown senior captain Erin Elbe (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and junior captain Melissa Biles (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes) earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, April 14. Elbe has led the #2 ranked Hoyas to a 10-1 start for the 2002 season. She has netted 32 goals and tallied 12 assists for 44 points so far this season. The senior had 10 points (6 goals and 4 assists) in a 23-10 defeat of Boston College. In the Hoyas’ 9-8 win over No. 11 James Madison, Elbe scored the game-winning goal with 19 seconds left. She also added six ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers for the week.
