Caputo Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Courtney Caputo

April 15, 2014

WASHINGTON - Senior midfielder Courtney Caputo (Philadelphia, Pa./Springside School) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Tuesday after leading the Hoyas to a 2-0 week on the road. The Hoyas are 6-7 on the season, but 3-1 in BIG EAST Conference play with three games remaining.

Caputo scored two goals against Connecticut, the second of which made it a two-goal game with under nine minutes to play, a deficit the Huskies could not overcome. She chipped in a true hat trick on Sunday at Rutgers, scoring three goals in one minute early in the second half, while adding a pair of ground balls and an assist.

It is the sixth BIG EAST Honor Roll nod for the Hoyas this season and the first of Caputo's career.

Georgetown will be back in action on Thursday afternoon at Multi-Sport Field as the squad hosts Villanova at 2 p.m., in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Live stats and a webcast will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
