WASHINGTON - Senior defender Kelly Barnes (St. Davids, Pa./Radnor) and attacker Kristen Coleman (Potomac, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) have been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association's 2012 Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game. They will join 36 other senior student-athletes in the event on June 16 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.

Barnes was named Third Team All-America this season marking her first-career national honor. She was also a First Team All-South Region selection.

Earlier this year, Barnes was named First Team All-BIG EAST and to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. The two-year co-captain led the squad in ground balls with 43 and ranks third on the team in caused turnovers forcing 22. She was the leader of the defense and started all 17 games this past season for the Blue & Gray. Barnes also earned a nod to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll in 2012.

Barnes has earned two all-region and one all-America award in her career. This year marked her third selection to the all-conference squad and the second to the first team.

Coleman played her final year of eligibility with the Hoyas after transferring from Fairfield University. She played in 17 games with nine starts to her credit. At Fairfield, she suffered a season-ending injury just one game in as a senior and ended her career as the Stags all-time leader in points, goals and assists after just three seasons. Coleman set the single-season record for points and goals as a freshman and assists as a sophomore.
