WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's lacrosse student-athletes Jody Cumberpatch (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and Betsy Holland (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) were among 233 student-athletes named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday.

The IWLCA honored 233 student-athletes from 79 different institutions with inclusion in the 2014 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA or 3.50 or greater.

Cumberpatch graduated in May majoring in government and Holland, an international politics major, is beginning her final season on the Hilltop.

Cumberpatch battled injury throughout her career, but came back for an outstanding senior season. She appeared in 43 games with 18 starts and tallied 16 goals along with 13 assists for 29 points. The attacker had 18 ground balls as well as five draw controls and five caused turnovers in her career. She was also a four-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star.

Holland, a defender, has appeared in 21 games in her career but missed most of last season due to an injury. She is a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star.

Students will return to campus next week to begin the 2014-15 school year.
