Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2017 Fall Schedule

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad announced its 2017 fall schedule on Thursday. The Hoyas will play on four dates with three all-day events.

The Hoyas will open the fall hosting Keio University from Japan on Oct. 10 at 11:30 a.m.

The first full day of games is slated for Oct. 14 at the US Lacrosse training center in Sparks, Md. The Hoyas will play Louisville (10 a.m.), Johns Hopkins (11 a.m.) and Boston University (1 p.m.) in the event.

The Blue & Gray will play under the lights of Cooper Field hosting the U.S. Naval Academy on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.

The following Sunday, GU will host three teams on Oct. 22. The Hoyas will face Richmond (9:30 a.m.), Elon (11:30 a.m.) and Virginia Tech (2:30 p.m.) in the all-day affair.

Georgetown will close out fall play with its second tournament at Cooper Field on Oct. 28. GU will host James Madison at 11 a.m. as well as Maryland at 1 p.m. The final game of the day is scheduled for 3 p.m. against Stony Brook.

The Blue & Gray finished the 2017 season with a record of 9-9 and advanced to the BIG EAST Semifinal. Georgetown lost four seniors to graduation, but returns its top six scorers in 2018.
