Women's Lacrosse Welcomes 10 Newcomers

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University's women's lacrosse team will begin its fall season on Tuesday, Oct. 10. With 11 contests over five dates on the slate, Head Coach Ricky Fried and his staff will have the opportunity to see what the 2018 squad will look like. This includes the addition of 10 newcomers for the Blue & Gray this upcoming season.

"I am very excited about the overall athleticism and lacrosse IQ of this group," said Fried.  "They have worked hard to be prepared for this level of play and I anticipate that they will make a significant contribution to our program, both on and off of the field."

The 2016 All-Mid-Shore Player of the Year ... Received Academic-All America accolades in 2016 ... Team was a state finalist in 2015 ... Holds the season record for goals with 56 ... Also played soccer and basketball ... Played club with Maryland United starting all four years ... Member of the National Honor Society ... Participated in the Interact Club ... A member and co-founder of the Young Ambassadors Club ... Class vice president as a senior ... Won the Principal's Award, the Science Department Award and the West Point Society of Annapolis Leadership Award.
