Hoyas Ranked No. 13 in Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad was selected No. 13 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll which came out Monday. The Blue & Gray will open the season on February 16 at Delaware.

Georgetown was one of four BIG EAST squads to earn a spot in the rankings with Syracuse University ranked No. 1, Loyola University (Md.) earning No. 7 and the University of Notre Dame at No. 8.

Georgetown finished the season with a record of 9-8 overall and a mark of 5-3 in BIG EAST Conference play. The Hoyas lose five seniors next season but return their top six scorers and bring in a talented class of eight.

Georgetown will start off 2013 at the University of Delaware Blue Hens on Feb. 16. The Hoyas will open at home on February 23 against Towson University at 1 p.m.
