WASHINGTON - The US Women's Lacrosse National Team will have open training sessions this weekend at Multi-Sport Field on the campus of Georgetown University. The squad will practice Friday, Saturday and Sunday as they prepare for future tournaments.

The women are coming off of a gold medal and undefeated record at the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup. Georgetown Head Coach Ricky Fried was the head coach for that US squad and will continue to be the coach through 2017.

The training weekend will run Friday-Sunday and will include the full 36-player pool. Along with Fried, three Hoyas will be on the field including current junior Caroline Tarzian (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City), Molly Ford (MSB'10) and Kelly Barnes (MSB'12).

The squad is preparing for the Champion Challenge which will be held in Florida in late February. The US team will face the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and the University of Maryland at that event.
