WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Ricky Fried announced the dates for the program's 2018 spring clinic and summer camps. All three lacrosse events are now open for registration.
The 2018 Spring Clinic is scheduled for April 8 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Cooper Field on the Georgetown campus. This clinic is open to all high school girls in the classes of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, as well as the class of 2022. Registration is limited to 100 field players, and athletes should bring their own light lunch or snack. There will be a break in the middle.
The 2018 Georgetown Hoyas Women's Lacrosse Overnight Camp will be held June 25-27. The camp is specifically designed for motivated and experienced lacrosse players who are looking to prepare themselves for the next level. Training sessions will be intense and challenging, and will provide campers with plenty of "hands-on" coaching by an experienced staff. Campers will also have daily opportunities to scrimmage and participate in game situations.
The camp is designed for experienced players entering grades 7-12. Graduated high school seniors are welcome as well. A typical day will consist of skill sessions, team concepts/situational play, competition, small-sided games and tournament play.
Two goalie training sessions will be taught by collegiate goalie coaches on staff. The program will run in conjunction with the overnight camp. Goalies will also be assigned to all scrimmage situations and placed on a team during tournament play. Goalies must supply their own equipment.
Teams are welcome to sign up for a discounted rate.
The Hoya Elite Day Camp is scheduled for July 23 from 9 a.m.-7:55 p.m. Registration for the camp will open at 8 a.m. This camp will focus intensely on team large and small concepts and raising each individual's game IQ. It is open to experienced players entering grades 9-12.
