Women's Lightweight Eight Nominated for Row2k Crew of the Week

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's lightweight eight has been nominated for the Row2k Crew of the Week after their performance at Eastern Sprint this past weekend on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

The Hoyas medaled at the event for the first time since the 2009 season, bringing home the bronze in a time of 7:29.2. The crew finished ahead of 2012 national champion Wisconsin and behind first place Radcliffe and Princeton University.

The team has been a part of a chaotic spring season, one that saw their coach leave the program two weeks prior to spring racing, making their performance this weekend all the more impressive.
