WASHINGTON - Nine members of the Georgetown University women's rowing team earned postseason recognition by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA), led by senior Christina Johnson (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) with First Team Region 2 accolades. Johnson is now a three-time CRCA National Scholar-Athlete, the Patriot League Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete, a three-time Patriot League Academic All-League selection and was previously named Second Team Region 2 as a sophomore in 2015. She was a key part of the varsity 8+ squad that placed fourth at the Patriot League Championship to help the Blue & Gray finish third overall, the best showing since joining the league in 2014 for women's rowing.
Joining Johnson as CRCA National Scholar-Athletes are seniors Margaret Dunne (Larchmont, N.Y./Convent of the Sacred Heart), Sabrina Gosman (Boston, Mass./Winsor School) and Alexandra Porrazzo (Greensboro, Vt./St. Andrew's), juniors Kayla Giger (Lebanon, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep), Abigail Reinhold (Reston, Va./South Lakes) and Lily Tyndall (Harrisburg, N.C./Hickory Ridge) as well as sophomores Isabelle Hupez (Washington, D.C./National Cathedral School) and Cate O'Leary (Saint Paul, Minn./Convent of the Visitation School).
