Georgetown Women’s Soccer To Open 2004 Season
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Georgetown Women’s Soccer will open their 2004 season at home against Howard University Friday, August 27 at 4 p.m. The game will be played on North Kehoe Field.
Georgetown returns seven starters, including senior captains Nicole DePalma (Theills, N.Y./North Rockland), Casey McCann (Mendham, N.J./The Pingry School), and Elizabeth Roberti (Rockville Centre, N.Y./Southside). DePalma returns as a force on both offense and defense, while McCann and Roberti lead the attack and defense, respectively. Junior attack Shara McNeill (Avon, Conn/Avon), a 2003 All-BIG EAST selection, returns as the leading point scorer for the Hoyas, and sophomore Cristina Araps (Belle Meade, N.J./Montgomery), a 2003 BIG EAST All-Rookie team selection, returns on the defensive side. Sophomore midfielder Chrissy Skogen (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) will also contribute for the Hoyas, as she was third in 2003 for points scored. The Hoyas are coached by first year Head Coach Dave Nolan.
