Summer In Australia Provides Education Away From the Classroom for Suria BahadueDarkness obscures any vision of the Georgetown University softball team's evening conditioning drills at Multi-Sport Field. They've been at it for two hours, with occasional headlights from passing cars shedding the only light over the last hour. It's dark enough where the only thing that might tip off pedestrians walking up the hill that it is in fact the softball team practicing is the voice of junior catcher Suria Bahadue (Miami, Fla./Monsignor Edward Pace) shouting encouragement to her teammates. Katharine Lang Makes Transition From Captain to CoachSoftball still consumes the day-to-day life of Katharine Lang, the former starting centerfielder and two-time Georgetown softball team captain. Instead of tracking down fly balls or swinging the bat, Lang is now teaching the game as a physical education teacher and varsity softball coach at Sidwell Friends, a K-12 Quaker school, a few blocks from the Hoyas home field in Washington, D.C.
