2014:One of three Hoyas to start all 48 games on the season ... As a sophomore, was the only underclassman to start every game ... Named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team ... Named to the All-BIG EAST Tournament Team ... Ranked third in batting average (.281), fourth in on-base percentage (.352), second in at-bats (146), second in runs scored (26), third in hits (41), tied for third in double (6), third in runs batted in (22) ... Ranked tied for second with 11 multi-hit games ... Tallied 41 hits with nine extra-base hits (six doubles, three home runs) ... One of eight with an on-base percentage over .300 and at least 100+ at-bats ... Hit her first career grand slam on March 29 ... Ended the season on a five-game hitting streak
2013: Started in all 54 games, 53 at shortstop and one at second base, during her freshman season ... Batted leadoff for all 54 games ... Her .297 batting average ranked third on the team ... Across 185 at-bats, Giovanniello led the team with 55 hits, 10 of which went for doubles and two for home runs ... Scored a team-high 29 runs while knocking in an additional 22 ... Drew 15 walks and was hit by two pitches to add to her .356 on base percentage ... Stole eight bases on the season ... Led the team with two four-hit games ... Was second on the team with 12 multi-hit games ...At one point, she had a six game hit streak.
Prior to Georgetown: Giovanniello was named 2009 New York State Player of the Year, helping Floral Park Memorial High School win the New York State Softball Championships...She is a two-time First Team All-State, First-Team All-Long Island, and First-Team All-Nassau County selection...She played club softball for Team Long Island Gold. Giovanniello is a member of the National Honor Society and earned high academic honors all four years.
