Final Stats

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Georgetown University softball team (4-5) fell behind 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning and were unable to mount a comeback as the Lipscomb Lady Bison defeated the Hoyas 2-0 Georgetown's final game at the Frost Classic.

Jennifer Connell (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) came out on the wrong end of the pitchers' duel , allowing two runs on five hits over 6.0 innings while striking out four. Alaina Jacobson allowed just one hit through seven innings of shutout ball for Lipscomb.

The Lady Bison broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the second inning on Christen Campbell's two-run home run. Those would be the last runs scored in the game.

Jadig Garcia (Zebulon, N.C./East Wake) got a two-out single in the top of the third, a hit that would be the Hoyas last. Each team only managed to put one more runner into scoring position the rest of the way as Lipscomb closed out a 2-0 victory.

Georgetown gets back on the field on Friday, March 5 to play the first of four games at the Wolfpack Challenge against Stony Brook at 4 p.m.
