WASHINGTON - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has announced that seven new members were voted to its Board of Directors for 2018. Georgetown Softball Head Coach Pat Conlan was elected to serve as the Vice President for Awards during the 2018-20 terms. Conlan held this same role in 2014 and 2015.
Conlan has previously served on the NFCA Ethics Committee from 2012-16 and as a BIG EAST representative on the Head Coaches Committee from 2012-15. She served on the Board of Directors as a First Vice President from 2013-15, Fifth Vice President in 2015-16 and as Special Advisor to the Executive Director in 2017.
Just recently, Conlan was inducted into the Holy Cross High School’s 2017 Crusader Hall of Fame on Nov. 30 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Conlan (’89) attended her alma mater’s second annual Crusade Hall of Honor, which inducted nine of its most beloved school members into the prestigious group. The recipients were recognized for their achievements and contributions to Holy Cross and/or their local communities. She was awarded The Crusader Award, which honors an alumnus who distinguished themselves during their time at Holy Cross.
Conlan enters her 13th season as the Georgetown softball head coach and her 23rd year overall of coaching the collegiate level. Conlan transformed the club team into a Division I program in 2006, serving as the program's first and only head coach. She will guide the Hoyas into their 10th season of BIG EAST play in 2018.
