WASHINGTON – Calling all those, experienced and inexperienced, who are interested in learning the tools necessary to bring your softball game to the next level with the help of Georgetown University Softball and head softball coach Pat Conlan. Georgetown softball is hosting its annual clinic on Sunday, November 10. The clinic will focus on the fundamentals of pitching, hitting and defense. Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Multi-Sport Field on Georgetown’s Campus
There is a 25 pitcher maximum for the clinic, so register early. Pitchers will receive instruction from Georgetown’s Head Softball Coach Pat Conlan and an additional college coach. Pitchers will participate in drills to help develop correct mechanics and improve fundamental skills. Participants will also learn how to throw spins for different pitches and to increase overall explosiveness off the mound.
Time: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The infield session will include drills to develop proper throwing mechanics, improve arm strength, throwing accuracy and quickness as well as proper infield mechanics and fielding footwork.
Time: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The hitting clinic will include an overview of hitting mechanics and fundamentals from stance position to swing. There is a 40 player maximum for the hitting session, so sign up early.
If it rains on November 10, the makeup date will be Sunday, Nov. 17 at the same times and locations.
