WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women’s tennis team (1-4) dropped their match in Boston on Saturday night when they were defeated by Boston College (3-0), 5-2.
Senior co-captain Madeline Jaeger (Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach) won one of two singles matches for the Hoyas against Boston College when she beat BC’s Heini Salonen, 7-6(4); 6-2. Jaeger moved to 4-1 in singles play in the spring with the victory.
Freshman Victoire Saperstein (Las Vegas, Nev./Odyssey Charter School) also came away with a victory when she defeated Sarah Dalton of Boston College, 7-6(5); 6-1, in the No. 6 position. It was Saperstein’s first spring singles victory of the season.
Georgetown has three women from Massachusetts. Senior co-captain Kelly Comolli is from Newburyport, Mass.; Junior Sophie Panarese is from Milton, Mass.; Freshman Margaret Psyhogeos is from Wellesley, Mass.
