WASHINGTON - Senior women's tennis player Lauren Greco (Oakmont, Pa./Shady Side Academy) was named All-BIG EAST on Thursday by the conference office. She is just the second player to earn All-BIG EAST honors under Georgetown Head Coach Gordie Ernst.

Greco went 21-3 on the season with a mark of 12-8 at No. 1 singles and a mark of 5-2 in BIG EAST matches. She won three of her last five matches including a big victory at No. 1 against nationally-ranked Syracuse during conference play. At one point in the season, she had a nine-match win streak.

In doubles play, she was 14-14 overall including a record of 10-10 with partner Kelly Comolli and a mark of 4-3 with Sophie Panarese.

The captain was ranked by the ITA earlier in the season sitting at No. 71 after an outstanding performance in the fall at ITA Regionals where she advanced to the quarterfinals.

Greco joins 12 other student athletes on the all-conference squad and is one of five seniors among the honorees.

The Hoyas tied for sixth at the BIG EAST Tournament and finished the season with a mark of 16-6. Georgetown went 5-2 in BIG EAST Conference play and finished the regular season on an eight-match win streak.
