Treniere Clement Breaks Marzell's Outdoor 800m School Record

Recent Georgetown University graduate, Treniere Clement Cí04, broke an eight-year-old GU womenís outdoor track record at the TDK Golden League Weltklasse Zurich 2004 meet at Letzigrund Stadium on Friday, August 6, in Zurich, Switzerland.
Clement ran 2:02.35 in the 800-meters to establish a new mark in the event for the Hoya record books. The previous mark of 2:02.36 was set by Miesha Marzell at the 1997 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
Clement enjoyed an outstanding career on the Hilltop. Highlights of her senior season include earning runner-up honors in the 1500-meter run at the 2004 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif. on July 13, and winning the 1500 at the NCAA Division I East Regional Track & Field Championships. Clement also captured her second-consecutive BIG EAST Outdoor 800-meter title and garnered a third-place finish in the mile run at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Championships.
