Hoyas Snap Streak with Sweep
An outstanding all-around team effort propelled the Georgetown University volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over BIG EAST foe DePaul (7-15, 2-7 BIG EAST), snapping a 14-game losing streak. The Hoyas improved to 7-15 overall and 1-8 in the BIG EAST with their first conference win of the season and first home win Sunday afternoon at McDonough Arena.

Saar leads the Hoyas with 174 kills on the year, adding 199 digs, second on the team. Alex Johnson has 144 kills and a team-best 16 service aces, to go along with 157 digs and 14 block assists in her junior campaign.

Marquette visits Washington with an 8-4 overall record, facing some stiff competition along the way, including three top-15 teams. The Golden Eagles are coming off of a gritty 3-2 win over DePaul in each team’s conference opener last weekend, moving MU to 1-0 in league play.

Autumn Baily leads the Blue & Gold with 187 kills this season, while scooping 127 digs defensively. She earned BIG EAST Honor Roll accolades last week, behind teammate and conference Player of the Week, Elizabeth Koberstein.
