WASHINGTON - The Georgetown track & field team traveled to State College, Pa., for the Nittany Lion Challenge, hosted by Penn State University today. The Hoyas put up seven first-place finishes today as they continue to compete, leading up to the championship portion of the season at the end of February. The Blue & Gray set two meet records today, one each for the men's and women's squads. This all comes on the same day that former Hoya All-Americans Steve Holman and Richard Kenah are inducted to the Georgetown Athletics Hall of Fame.
All-American Katrina Coogan (Exeter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy) led the way for the Hoyas, taking first in the women's 800-meter run and setting a new meet record with her time of 2:08.23. She broke the record set in 2010 by former Hoya All-American and now Nike standout Emily Infeld (2:08.89). Coogan led Hannah Neczypor in second with a time of 2:09.46.

The quartet won the event with a time of 10:12.52.
