WASHINGTON - A pair of Hoyas ran personal records (PRs) to close out the final day of the IC4A / ECAC Championships, a three-day postseason meet hosted by Boston University. Over the entirety of the championships, seven new PRs were set by the Hoya squads.
On the men’s side, Kenny Rowe (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) finished second in the 800-meter finals, as he continued to peak through the postseason, clocking 1:50.51 in the eight-person field.
Additionally, a trio of Hoyas finished among the top eight in the men’s mile with Charles Cooper recording a podium finish with his third-place 4:06.68, followed by Jack Van Scoter (Pasadena, Calif./Flintridge Prep) in fourth and Nick Golebiowski (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral) running his second-straight PR, timing in at 4:08.54 for eighth place.
The Blue & Gray continues the season with the 2017 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day meet will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11 in College Station, Texas. The men’s team garnered a trio of individual entries as well as one relay while the women tallied one individual event.
